Microsoft, which is set to launch Windows 8 later this month, has set itself the target of reaching 100,000 apps within 90 days.

Keith Lorizio, Vice President of U.S. sales and marketing, told Beet.TV that Microsoft is spending ‘millions’ to help publishers create apps for the app-like interface.

Lorizio also projected that Windows 8 would have 400 million users by July 2013, citing that it gives users the same experience across all devices in the Microsoft family.
