He also spent 10 years with Communisis, first as a general manager, creative services, and then marketing services director. Most recently he spent 18 months providing consultancy services to a variety of B2B and B2C brands.

“Having someone of Barry’s calibre and experience on board is another big coup for BMC,” commented managing director of BMC, Catherine Burke, “this senior appointment speaks volumes for our commitment to provide clients with industry-leading expertise across the broadest spectrum of channels, to enable them to manage all their printed and digital communications needs through BMC.”

Of his new role McPhillips added: “I’m thrilled to be joining such a progressive and ambitious team.

“I‘ll be working closely with existing and new clients to help them generate higher revenues and gain deeper customer loyalty. Our solutions will use customer insight to develop relevant offers and messages, and creative execution to individualise campaigns and technology to improve the co-ordination and management of multiple marketing channels.”
