Royal Mail appoints Jonathan Harman as MD of MarketReach

Royal Mail has announced that Jonathan Harman will be joining Royal Mail Group as Managing Director of MarketReach on 1 October 2012. Reporting to Chief Customer Officer Mike Newnham, Harman is briefed with building a profitable and sustainable marketing mail business for Royal Mail.

Harman joins from Aimia, the owners of the Nectar customer loyalty programme. He is also a former CEO of WPP’s RMG Connect and MD of Omnicom’s Claydon Heeley.

Harman said: “Mail is a proven and powerful tool for advertisers wanting to build customer relationships and I look forward to making this case strongly.”

Launched in July, MarketReach is a new initiative to provide companies and their agencies with a full suite of mail solutions to grow their businesses. Using a mix of in-house experience and external expertise, MarketReach provides planning, data, creative and design solutions through to print, delivery and response evaluation.
