Orange Bus, the digital and communication agency has announced its purchase of the intellectual property rights to Tagish Web Solutions ISite content management system.

The deal means Orange Bus now owns the sole licensing rights and source code for the software with key member of Tagish, which is in administration, also migrating across to the northern digital agency.

Tagish had been specialists in the public sector, a market Orange Bus are keen to crack, a task it believes Isite is well placed to tackle.

Orange Bus co-director Julian Leighton, whsoe camper van the firm is named after, said: “The Tagish deal marks an important milestone for Orange Bus in that it has added necessary skills to both improve scalability and profitability – this will help us to double the size of the company at least in the next 12 months.

“Having enjoyed a planned period of consolidation in the last year, we now have a fantastic senior management team in place as well as excellent systems and processes. Crucially, we have also re-evaluated the client base and by turning down work that was right for us anymore, we’ve been able to pursue more global clients.

“The acquisition of the Tagish software - and the client base that comes with it - fits very well with the core business at Orange Bus and we intend to continue to support those companies with as little disruption as possible in the first instance.

“Following that we have plans to bring the iSite platform up-to-date, increase its functionality and add further value to build on its existing reputation to make it even better.”
