The winners of this year's Social Buzz Awards will be chosen by a panel boasting the likes of ASOS.com, Butlins, GiffGaff, LivingSocial and Microsoft - and The Drum can also announce that cloud hosting company iomart Hosting will be the headline sponsor.

On the judging panel will be former Brazen digital director Paul Fabretti; Jae Hopkins, head of communications for Butlins; Sedge Beswick, global social media executive for ASOS.com; Microsoft UK’s director of search Dave Coplin and Nick Jones, deputy director of digital communications at the Prime Minister’s Office.

Also on the panel are Vincent Boon of GiffGaff; Jeremy Waite, head of social strategy for TBG Digital; Martin Harrison, senior planner at Huge; Jamie Riddell, creator of Birdsong; Peter Briffett, managing director UK for LivingSocial and Jonathan Beeston, global marketing director of Efficient Frontier.

Meanwhile iomart, which has also recently begun to host thedrum.com through its cloud hosting service, will be lead sponsor of the second Social Buzz Awards, taking place at the Emirates Stadium on 28 November.

Phil Worms, marketing director at iomart, said: “iomart Hosting has been driven by constant creativity and innovation for many years. As one of the UK’s leading cloud companies we’re more used to supporting the platforms and technologies that enable effective global communication, so we’re honoured and delighted to have the opportunity to celebrate the individuals and organisations that are using these tools so effectively.

"There are many excellent examples of people doing amazing things with social media but often with little individual or collective recognition, which is why we’re delighted to support The Social Buzz Awards as they clearly address this situation. We’re looking forward to seeing some very worthy winners crowned in November. ”
