Apple has already named eight Samsung smartphones that it wants to be banned from US stores having won a $1bn ruling against its rival for infringing iPhone parents, with the court hearing scheduled for December.

A notice filed by Apple has requests that the Galaxy S 4G, Galaxy S2 (AT & T), Galaxy S2 (Skyrocket), Galaxy S2 (T-Mobile), Galaxy S2 Epic 4G, Galaxy S Showcase, Droid Charge and Galaxy Prevail as all banned from sale in the US following the ruling.

The request was originally scheduled to be heard in October, but has been moved back until 6 December.

Analysts have claimed that the ruling could harm future competition against Apple in the smartphone marketplace.
