The Drum's Pussy Riot appeal hits Russia with an overwhelming number of responses from Russian designers over the weekend.

As the UK rests on its last Bank Holiday weekend of the summer Russian creatives have taken the lead on The Drum’s Pussy Riot Appeal sending in ideas for merchandise and posters which can be sold to raise money for the jailed band. Over the weekend we saw our inbox filled with an influx of Russian entries contradicting the country’s hard-lined stance which saw the girls place behind bars. Here’s a selection of the best ideas from our brave Russian entrants. We’ll be turning the most popular ideas into real merchandise and all proceeds raised will go direct to the Pussy Riot cause. Hopefully the long weekend has inspired some of our British creatives to get involved in our cause, remember if you have an idea for a poster, mug, balaclava, clothing, or just about anything which you believe could raise funds for Pussy Riot send it to riotappeal@thedrum.com by Friday 7 September.
