Communications agency Brass is rolling out a number of creative campaigns for First UK Bus in the North of England, following its appointment in March this year. With campaigns already underway in West and South Yorkshire and Greater Manchester aiming to promote First UK Buses new high frequency routes and new buses.

The campaign is being executed across a number of media channels including outdoor posters, ad vans, ad bikes, on-bus advertising, targeted leaflet drops, email and PR. Revenue and customer services development director at First UK Bus, Simon Pearson, says First UK Bus are already beginning to see positive results from the campaign.

Pearson commented: “To date we’ve had thousands of passengers register at myfirstbus.co.uk for ticket offers and on the routes re-launched we’ve seen a positive growth in passenger numbers.

“First UK Bus is committed to an on-going process of improvement but these early results are really encouraging.”

Paul McGann, director at Brass, commented: “We wanted to create a visually impactful campaign that reflects the huge breadth of bus journeys made every single day. On many routes First offer a high frequency service with buses every 10 minutes or better, meaning a journey by bus has never been easier.

“We’re so confident in the re-launched routes that we have been offering free FirstDay tickets for people to try out the new service.”
