Professional social networking site LinkedIn has undergone a redesign of its homepage, aiming to make navigation on the site easier for members to find and access information.

Speaking on her online blog LinkedIn product manager Caroline Gaffney, comments: “This simpler and cleaner design makes it easier to navigate the page and quickly find the updates you’re looking for.”

The new design places the most relevant updates at the start of the page. Trending topics, news, and professional updates based on what members connections and industry are reading, sharing and discussing will appear at the top of the feed, to allow users to “spend less time hunting for information.”

LinkedIn has also refreshed the way updates look and feel in the stream with richer visuals for easy scanning and viewing, users can also now see a continuous stream of updates without clicking “see more”.

Gaffney adds: “This is just the beginning of many more exciting, new features we plan to bring to the Homepage to offer more customisation and functionality this year,” with LinkedIn “always looking for new ways to make the Homepage experience better.”

The redesigned homepage will roll out to all members over the next few weeks.
