The Drum has added to its editorial team with the appointments of Gillian West as reporter and Dane Brown as magazine designer.

Gillian joins from travel news company Inrix Media where she spent three years as editor and broadcaster.

Dane has spent the past six years in London designing and art directing for magazines such as Grazia, Heat and Empire.

In addition to the new appointments, The Drum has promoted senior reporter Cameron Clarke to the new role of opinion editor. Cameron will now be the main point of contact for comment pieces and blogs.

Gordon Young, editor of The Drum, said: “I am delighted to welcome both Gillian and Dane on board. Dane is a sparky guy who will assist in the on-going evolution of The Drum, and its associated events and publications.

“Gillian, who has a background in broadcast, brings a new perspective to the magazine and I am looking forward to working with her.

“Cameron has been with us for almost five years as a reporter and he will now look to grow our Opinion content, overseeing blogs, guest columns and the analysis of breaking stories.”

You can send submissions for The Drum's Opinion section to opinion@thedrum.com.
