Evian extends sponsorship deals with Maria Sharapova and Wimbledon

Evian has extended its sponsorship with women’s tennis number one Maria Sharapova and will also continue to be the office Bottled Water for Wimbledon for a further five years.

Sharapova, has signed a new three-year-deal with Evian to continue as a brand ambassador, while the brand extends its deal with the All England Club until 2017.

This year’s tournament will see a range of activities run by Evian, including a real time Ball Hunt, samping and a series of videos being created for the Wimbledon website.

Mick Desmond, commercial director of the All England Club, said: "Evian has ably demonstrated its enthusiasm and support for The Championships and we are delighted to be extending our agreement. The brand’s innovation and ability to embrace the ethos of Wimbledon, while adding its own twist, has led to a highly successful partnership and it is one which we are looking forward to developing over the next five years."

Michael Aidan, global brand director for Evian global brand director, added: “The whole Evian team is very proud of having Maria as an ambassador. Our first partnership started when she was just back from injury and her fantastic comeback is a great source of inspiration for all of us. Maria loves the brand and epitomises the idea of healthy living with a touch of glamour, everything Evian stands for all around the world.”
