London City Airport has appointed Grayling to raise its reputation in Germany, Spain and Ireland.

The media relations programme will launch next month and will be coordinated by a central hub team based in London.

Jeremy Probert, corporate communications director at London City Airport, said: “Part of our commercial strategy is to add new routes and attract new airlines – this brief supports that. By enhancing LCY’s reputation abroad and communicating the benefits of flying in to LCY, we aim to increase passenger numbers – leading to increased frequency, larger aircraft and, yes, new airlines. It’s all part of the same task.”

Michael Murphy, global CEO for Grayling, added: “Grayling is well equipped to help LCY achieve its communications and commercial goals. Our global network has specialist travel and aviation expertise and our UK-based international coordination team is experienced in delivering successful and cost effective pan-European campaigns. I look forward to the start of a long and fruitful relationship with LYC.”
