Alongside its social media campaign that will go live later this week, British Airways has added a special emblem to one of its fleet of 747’s to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

The emblem has been designed by 11-year-old Katherine Dewar as part of a Blue Peter competition, and will run alongside the words “Congratulations, Celebrating Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee” on the aircraft

During the Jubilee weekend, British Airways captains have their Captain’s make congratulatory announcements to make the occasion, while afternoon tea will also be served in British Airways lounges in Heathrow.

Premium customers in Business and Concorde lounges will also be offered a champagne cocktail or a glass of wine, to toast Her Majesty, while a selection of Jubilee treatments will also be on offer within the Elemis Spa in Terminal 5 to First, Club World and Gold Executive Club members.
