Coca-Cola is set to celebrate the 2012 UEFA European Football Championship, with a TV ad launching tomorrow ahead of the tournament kicking-off in June.

The ‘Transformations’ ad by Publicis sees fans drinking Coca-Cola in the pub while watching a match. When their team wins a goal, one of the fans suddenly begins to sprout feathers, turning into a super fan bird mascot.

The campaign also offers fans the chance to win exclusive tickets to UEFA Euro 2012 matches and claim football rewards on CokeZone, as well as media partnerships with partnerships with ITV1 and talkSPORT.

Chris Deere, MyCoke GB market manager, said: “Coca-Cola Great Britain knows how passionate British fans are about football and is hoping to excite all fans through our UEFA EURO 2012 campaign.

“The new ad, ticket giveaway and supporting campaign underscore our commitment to involving consumers in the tournament by encouraging them to celebrate football happiness with Coca-Cola and Coke Zero.”

Sampling activities will also take place in city centre locations together with the EA SPORTS gaming vehicle.
