Scottish Development International is launching a new campaign to attract inward investment to the country.

The campaign will target key decision makers and senior influencers at 200 of the UKs largest companies who do not currently have a presence in Scotland.

It will launch with a personal letter from First Minister Alex Salmond to the chairman or CEO of each of the companies.

Then on Monday 30 April a two-week print advertising campaign will get underway in the Financial Times and the UK edition of the Wall Street Journal. During the same two weeks online ads will be running on FT.com and Reuters.com.

From 7 May an animated ad will appear on the Reuters Digital Billboard in the centre of Canary Wharf’s financial district. The billboard experiences a footfall of over 600,000 business professionals each week. The ad will appear over 2,500 times during the 2 week period.

The final phase of the campaign will be direct mail sent to those with responsibility for R&D/innovation, finance, operations and HR.
