Greene King appoints North Star Advertising media agency to handle £4m account

Greene King beers and brands division has appointed media agency North Star Advertising to handle its accounts, estimated to be work £4m.

This coincides with the appointment of Grey London to handle the creative for all Greene King beer brands.

Dom South, Greene King group marketing director, said: “North Star have proven track record on Belhaven Best, and I’m sure they will prove as successful for Greene King IPA and Old Speckled Hen as we continue to invest in these brands and their growth.

“Given the plans for the coming year we felt that North Star would provide the kind of all-round media delivery, thinking, flexibility and single-mindedness that would best suit our needs going forward.”

North Star Advertising will add Greene King IPA, Old Speckled Hen and Abbot Ale to its roster, while Mediacom London has retained the Greene King pubs business.

Nick Stewart, MD of North Star, said: “This is obviously a fantastic win for us. Greene King is a great client and has some great brands, with a great heritage and we can’t wait to get started. It’s recognition of the great work the guys have done on Belhaven.”
