4Music, the UK’s most-watched television music channel, is set to re-launch in March with an identity overhaul. 4Music’s logo, branding and onscreen design is evolving to signify a fresh start for the music channel.

The colour pink has remained a central part of 4Music’s identity but is now brought forward with the addition of blue and yellow into the colour scheme. Alongside this, a series of four idents have been produced by the in-house team at Box TV, designed to echo aspects of the channel’s content by incorporating music and dance within purpose-built sets in everyday locations. The 4Music logo has been simplified to fit more closely with the channel’s new image.

The new branding will air for the first time on Friday 2 March, with a fresh weekend line up of programmes, including the More! Saturday Warm-Up Chart and a new series of The Crush.

Melissa Pine, head of marketing at Box TV, said, “Since the launch in 2008, 4Music has positioned itself firmly in the mainstream pop world. The branding responds to an increasing appetite for viewer interaction and social viewing whilst reflecting the ever changing aesthetics of pop culture in music.”

4Music can be found at Freeview 18, Sky 360, Virgin 330.
