William Grant & Sons has appointed Crayon to be its global digital and social media agency partner for Grant’s Whisky.

Following a competitive pitch the agency was selected to manage the brand's global digital strategy and platforms, as well as support multiple markets across the US, Latin America, and Europe.

William Grant & Sons digital communications manager Liz Yeo said of the appointment: “We first met Crayon to discuss their digital capabilities, and found an exciting offering ranging from traditional CRM, consumer insight and Social Media Strategy. With Grant’s being one of the world’s favourite whiskies, we’ll be working with Crayon to develop engaging programmes across digital channels that bring together a committed community of Grant’s fans.

Crayon CEO Dan Thwaites added: “We’re very proud to become part of the Grant’s family. It’s great to blend our drinks sector experience with our digital capability for an independently owned brand with five generations of whisky making expertise.”

Crayon was last month acquired by Karma Communications Group, the newly formed challenger group in the marketing services sector which also includes Karmarama and sister agencies Kream and Kaper.
