Keep Me Safe, a GPS tracking app that allows people to follow your route via their phone, is to be launched on Monday by Gill Kamel and 2ergo.

The android app allows the user to switch on the tracking facility when they are travelling along or feel vulnerable, allowing up to two nominated people to follow their route on Google Maps.

Created by Gill Kamel, founder of Lose My Number, and built by 2ergo, the app also features an alert function to let trackers know when the user is in difficulty.

Kamel said: “As a mother of two and a grandmother of three, there’s no worse feeling than worrying about whether your children are safe.

“It’s easy to pop a phone into a child’s rucksack or have your teenagers switch on the tracker when they are out to alert you if they get into trouble. We want to make sure people are safely on the map.”
