Alison Clarke, CEO of Grayling UK and Ireland, is to become the chairman of the PRCA for 2012 through until 2014.

At the organisation’s AGM last night, the association announced that Clarke will initially become vice-chairman until next year, while Steffan Williams, managing director of Capital MS&L will take on the role of treasurer as Matt Neale, managing director of GolinHarris becomes chairman of the PRCA Best Practice Committee.

Alison Clarke commented “This is a pivotal time for PR –the industry is in its strongest state ever and increasingly is seeing the recognition it deserves for prospering during the current economic difficulties. I look forward to working with Sally, Matt and the PRCA team to represent the industry’s best interests and helping it to achieve its potential.”

Francis Ingham, chief executive of the PRCA, added: “It is testimony to the continuing vibrancy and growth of the PRCA that people of this calibre are happy to run the Association. This is a stellar line up for the period 2011 to 2014…There is no more impressive team in our industry, and together we will shape our PR’s future over the next few years.”
