Debenhams launches virtual pop-up stores across UK
Debenhams is launching virtual pop-up shops around the UK. No buildings, no staff, just you and your iPhone or iPad.
From 27-29 October, virtual Debenhams pop-up shops will be ‘opening’ in London, Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester and Cardiff.
An app designed by GoldRush enables iPhone and iPad 2 owners to see a range of ten party dresses when they hold up their Apple device to iconic landmarks such as Trafalgar Square, George Square and Cardiff castle. The dresses can be tried on virtually, ordered and then delivered.
Users are being encouraged to share photos of them trying on the dresses on Twitter and Facebook in order to amplify the campaign.
