Trinity Mirror has appointed the former editor of Which? Online and Which? Magazine, Malcolm Coles, to the newly created role of product director for digital within its national division.
Coles, who was has spent the last four years working as a consultant for global brands and publishers on their digital content strategy, will be responsible for the digital product strategy, while also developing existing and new digital products.
His responsibilities will also include external relationship with key technology partners, while developing third party partnerships.
Chris Ellis, managing director digital of the Trinity Mirror’s Nationals Division, said: “Delivering great product and technology, combined with our unique content, is at the heart of our growth plans. It is terrific that we've been able to attract someone of Malcolm's calibre to the team. He will be a real asset and I’m delighted that he is joining us".
Shana Hills, head of product development will report directly to Coles who will begin his role in November.
