Media tycoon Alexander Lebedev faces hooliganism charge for punch
Alexander Lebedev, owner of the Independent and Evening Standard, is being investigated for hooliganism for punching a billionaire on a TV chat show.
The media tycoon had "brought bodily harm" to Sergei Polonsky, the Moscow investigative committee of the general prosecutor's office said in a statement on its website.
Polonsky, former owner of one of Russia's biggest property developers, Mirax Group, posted photographs online showing a cut on his arm and a tear in his trousers after the brawl.
It is being reported by Russian news agencies that if charged, Lebedev could face two years in jail.
