Realise Digital creates microsite for Channel 4 Sri Lanka documentary

Edinburgh agency Realise Digital has designed and developed a microsite for Channel 4 News documentary 'Sri Lanka's Killing Fields'.

The website was commissioned by Channel 4 to sustain discussion around the issues raised in the programme which first aired in June this year.

The site allows visitors to re-watch the documentary, which was presented by Jon Snow, but also includes a range of additional information such as key statistics, links to multimedia content, Channel 4 News articles and related external websites.

In a further effort to encourage wider comment and debate, Realise Digital also integrated links to social media channels. The entire microsite was developed and went live in under a month.

"There was a huge response to the initial showing of the documentary and we felt we needed a special, impactful site to showcase this important and on-going subject," said Vicky Taylor, commissioning editor of new media, news and current affairs at Channel 4.
