It has been revealed that BBC's television production chief Sally Debonnaire is to join ITV Studios.

The former managing director of Avalon Television and COO of TalkBack Thames joined BBC Vision Productions four years ago as controller of production operations, where she oversees operational functions across the in-house production base.

Debonnaire will leave the BBC at the end of this month, and take up her job as director of production in the New Year.

Chief creative officer Pat Younge and director of Vision Operations Bal Samra recognised 'the very valuable contribution she's made to Vision, and indeed to the BBC' in an email to staff about Debonnaire's decision, Ariel reports.
