GMG Radio has reappointed Clear Marketing Communications as the creative agency for its Real Radio network following a four-way pitch.

The appointment was made this week following a review and a pitch that also featured TBWA\Manchester, Meteorite and Big Al.

"We’re looking forward to a fresh marketing approach for the Real network, to build on what is already a strong brand," said Jonathan Gillespie, GMG Radio group commercial director.

Manchester-based Clear will now begin creating a new multi-media marketing campaign that aims to resonate with the network’s core 30-something female edged audience.

Clear has held the account since 2004, and won the last review which took place three years.

The agency's managing director, Jim Smith, said: "This is a fantastic result for the agency and down to a great effort by the team who work on the account.

"We now look forward to working with the Real team to take the brand to its next stage of development, and to producing some outstanding creative work that reflects the strength of the brand in a dynamic and changing radio market."

The pitch was conducted by the AAR who worked closely with GMG Radio’s Group Commercial Director Jonathan Gillespie and Group Head of Marketing Helen Dickinson.

Real has a network of five stations and they attract a total audience of over 2.5 million adults a week.
