Capital FM yesterday launched its branded Subway train in Glasgow, which will be used for the next year.

It is estimated that the train will be seen by about 14 million passengers over the course of the year.

Valerie Davidson, Strathclyde Partnership for Transport’s assistant chief executive, said: “We're absolutely delighted with our new collaboration with Capital FM and the new Subway carriage looks brilliant.

“It will certainly catch the attention of all our passengers and the station's listeners and I hope that everyone who hears mention of it on air will think about using the Subway.”

Capital FM presenters Garry Spence, Jennie Cook, Des Clarke and Adele Cunningham (L-R) were there for the unveiling of the train.

Des Clarke, Capital’s breakfast show host said: “We're delighted that we already wake up hundreds of thousands of the city's commuters on-air, now we can give them a lift into town too!”
