Bath Abbey has appointed Bristol-based strategic branding, creative design, advertising and media consultancy, Halo Media, to create a new identity and a website to serve both its congregation and tourists.

According to Design Week, the consultancy is now working up possible identity solutions and designing a new website which will need to offer users the opportunity to quickly and effectively recognise what the Abbey can offer them.

‘Bath Abbey is a thriving organisation which means different things to different people – a parish church, a home for congregations large and small, a spectacular concert venue and a host to many hundreds and thousands of visitors,’ an Abbey spokesman told Design Week.

The new website will aim to provide information for regular congregations and tourists looking for details on history, architecture and tours in a more user friendly and engaging way.
