The creative director of IAS b2b has said that with speculation surrounding the future of MediaSquare, with talk of a breakaway by The Gate Worldwide, the agency will remain no matter what.

In the latest issue of The Drum - due out tomorrow - Reuben Webb (pictured) says, when asked about the prospects of IAS ever going it alone; “Peter [Reid] is our mate. He’s cheering us on and helping us open up new frontiers. We’re well into our plan to take over the world and it’s unfolding under the IAS and MSQ banners. We’re going to see this through, survey the field of victory, then see what’s next.”

Last month it was revealed that the directors of The Gate Worldwide had been rebuffed in their offer to buy back control of the international agency from Media Square.

Yesterday, Rob Morrice, CEO of IAS b2b told The Drum, while discussing his agency walking away with the Agency of the Year award at the b2 Awards in America this week, that he was looking at a ‘couple’ of potential acquisition targets.

The full interview with Reuben Webb can be read in the next issue of The Drum, out tomorrow (Friday 22 July.)
