Every day there's something new from Facebook - but Mark Zuckerberg's hint suggests next week might be more dramatic than most

The most dramatic possibility - and it would be awesome indeed - is some kind of integration with Skype for video chatting.

At the moment Facebook users can only communicate using instant message text chat, but Mail Online says the two companies are reported to have agreed that Skype video chat could be integrated into the site.

A step for a hint: Email Invitations to journalists for the event on Wednesday picture a face inside a speech bubble. They are asked to RSVP if they are interested in attending in person at Facebook's Palo Alto HQ.

The move would be a huge boost for Microsoft-owned Skype, which has 170 million active users compared to Facebook’s 700 million.

The mystery project was developed at the 40-person Facebook Seattle office, which played a central role in Facebook’s unified mobile site, unveiled at the end of March.

Less thrilling, but still noteworthy would be an official Facebook iPad app. If so, this would be the first tablet app developed by the social network. Others think it could be a Facebook photo sharing app for the iPhone. Yet another possibility is Project Spartan, an HTML5 platform to compete with Apple’s App Store.

Or it could be something that we haven’t heard about yet. "If Facebook could pull that off, it would show that the company can still develop a product without it leaking out early," said website ZDNet. But the betting , as of this weekend, is the "awesome" Facebook-Skype concept.
