Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles promotes Hopkins to head of marketing

Mark Hopkins has been promoted to the role of head of marketing at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.

Hopkins, who joined the company in 2007 will take up the role from his current one as marketing communications managers from 1 July.

Simon Elliott, director of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles said: “Mark already has a wealth of experience and knowledge of Volkswagen vans and the commercial vehicle market, so I am delighted he has accepted this well-earned promotion.”

Mark Hopkins added: “I am extremely excited about this fantastic opportunity and am looking forward to working with the team and our Van Centre network to continue to improve the awareness and market share of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.”

The appointment follows the departure of David George, the previous head of marketing, who joined Mercedes Benz in March.
