Rejuvenating drink Purdey’s, has been updated and enhanced with new packaging by brand design specialists Blue Marlin.

The new design aims to fit Purdey’s status as a classic premium drink and to explain the brand’s mission and beliefs. It also signals the determination of brand owner Britvic Soft Drinks to bring this pioneering product to greater prominence.

Originally launched in 1992, Purdey’s contains a combination of B vitamins that helps to release energy; it gained a loyal, but relatively small customer-base.

Britvic acquired the brand in 2002 and believes that the product is more relevant today than it was at launch.

“The new design tells the brand story and explains its ethos through both illustration and back and front of pack copy,” said Blue Marlin’s London creative director.

“It is sophisticated and engaging and a little intriguing. For instance, some of the drawings are numbered with a key on the back explaining that it contains vitamin C and counts as one of your five a day.”

Blue Marlin is Britvic’s longstanding design partner and was responsible for the successful Tango relaunch two years ago as well as the recent launches of SoBe Pure Rush and SoBe V Water.
