Clients ‘will still use recruitment agencies’ despite new LinkedIn 'apply here' tool, expert says
Despite the announcement that LinkedIn will release an ‘Apply with LinkedIn’ function later this month, for employers to put on websites, recruitment agencies will still be neccessary, says one recruitment professional.
Companies will also be able to add customised questions for the applicant to answer when applying.
Justin Moore, recruitment manager at creative recruitment company BecomeUK, told The Drum: “I do think it will make applying for jobs quicker and easier and recruitment agencies will use it: we use LinkedIn to search for candidates, I use LinkedIn to make contacts and connections.
“In the end the client will still come across the same problems and will still use recruitment agencies.
“Companies will still be overwhelmed with amount of applications that aren’t relevant, that’s when people will come to us to narrow it down to a few," he added.
