Alan Bergstom, a former adviser to US President Ronald Reagan, has joined Nunwood as head of brand and communications strategy.

Bergstom, who rose through the ranks at the Pentagon to become a personal advisor to the President, offering daily foreign policy and security briefings to Regan, will spend his time between the company’s offices in Madison, Wisconsin and New York.

“I’m passionate about brands and the unrealised potential they represent for many organisations,” commented Bergstrom who was founder and CEO of The Brand Consultancy. He has also recently served as North American Vice President for global consultancy Beyond Philosophy.

Having joined, Bergstrom will report to David Conway, chief strategy officer for Nunwood.

Nunwood recently revealed a 116% rise in annual growth for its North American division.
