The Sunday Sport to retain eight members of staff
The return of The Sunday Sport under former owner David Sullivan will see eight former members of staff return to work at the publication.
The newspaper is expected to be revived next month under former owner David Sullivan who is in talks to buy it back from administrator BDO for less than £1 million and will see Nick Appleyard return as editor and Mark Harris as managing director.
Following the administration of owner Sport Media Group, both The Sunday Sport and its sister title The Daily Sport ceased publishing with the loss of 80 jobs.
Sullivan is understood to be only interested in reviving The Sunday paper.
