if agency launches promotional campaign for Makro

UK wholesaler Makro has launched a new major integrated promotion as part of its year-long ‘40 Years of Makro Value’ campaign which celebrates the company’s 40th year of trading in the UK.

The ‘Makro Drive Away Giveaway’ promotion, created by the if agency, offers customers the chance to win one of eight Nissan vans every time they shop.

Customers are driven to a promotional microsite via a suite of point of sale materials, an eCRM campaign, outdoor poster sites and direct marketing collateral devised by if, before being invited to choose a ‘Lucky Time’ from Makro’s 40 years of trading. The customer whose ‘Lucky Time’ is closest to the one randomly drawn wins the top prize – a Nissan NV200. The promotion runs in two four month bursts and a van is given away each month.
