Burger King declines comment on UK agency review
Burger King has declined to comment on reports that it is set to roll-out its advertising on a regional basis.
It has been suggested that the fast-food giant, which parted ways with its global agency Crispin Porter + Bogusky in March, is looking to appoint agencies at a regional level and has called a separate pitch for its £12m ad account in the UK and Ireland.
It is also understood that the pitch for local business will take place after Easter.
A spokesperson for Burger King refused to confirm any of the speculation surrounding the account, instead issuing the following statement:
“Burger King Corp. and Crispin Porter + Bogusky enjoyed a tremendously successful relationship over the past seven and a half years. As the appointment process for a new advertising agency is still ongoing, it is not appropriate to comment further at this point in time.”
US agency Crispin Porter + Bogusky had been responsible for the company’s advertising in both the UK and North America.
