Diet Coke has launched a new TV ad campaign as part of a marketing push to associate the brand with fashion.

The 'Love it Light' ad shows three female puppet characters on a mission to find the perfect handbag before having to take matters into their own hands.

The 30-second TV ad has been created by Mother and will air across Britain and 11 European countries from this month.

It will be backed by a digital fashion channel powered by Yahoo and three limited edition Diet Coke bottles designed by fashion empresario Karl Lagerfeld.

Zoe Howorth, market activitation director for Coca-Cola GB, said: "Fashion is an essential part of our consumers’ lives and is a great way for us to engage with the Diet Coke audience."
