Google has updated the logo for browser Google Chrome, taking away its 3D look to create a flatter version, using the same colour scheme.

The move to create a flatter version of the logo comes a week after a similar design was created for Google’s open source software Chromium, which retained its all blue colours.

The previous logo (see gallery) was created in 3D using blue, green, yellow and red.

At the time of writing no explanation for the change had been given by Google, although The Drum was awaiting a response to its enquiry.
