Britain has been transformed from a nation of telly addicts to computer addicts, according to an online survey compiled by SeeSaw.com.

It found that 60% of Britain’s admitted to consuming their main evening meal whilst sat in front of their PC, whilst more than 20% conceded that they “regularly” grabbed some grub at their computer.

2,000 people responded to the survey with 15% saying their dinner plate was as important an accessory to their desktop as the keyboard.

The trend looks likely to increase in the years ahead with fully a third of those polled conscious that they had noted an increase in this particular habit over the past 12 months.

This comes as increasing numbers of Britons cite that their PC’s are replacing their TV’s as the primary source of evening entertainment.
