NME Online names Lewis as new editor

Luke Lewis has been named as the editor of NME’s online presence.

Lewis has been promoted from the role of deputy editor, having worked at the website since 2008, joining from Q.

Paul Cheal, publishing director for NME, commented: “Amongst some extremely strong candidates for this position, Luke stands out as the right man for the job. Quality journalism, round the clock reporting and expert opinion pieces are crucial to NME.COM remaining the first port of call for music fans and Luke is the ideal candidate to ensure NME.COM continues to deliver to them.”

He will take up the role with immediate effect.
