Spotted at Apple's iPad2 event, Jony Ive the British genius

It's all gone quiet on the suggestion last week that Jony Ive, the designer behind the very best of Apple, might be leaving

No, there he was in the lobby early on at the iPad 2 event. The LA Times spotted him and wondered if he would speak later, but does not record that he did. However, on the second of the videos on the Apple website, here is Jony extolling the virtues of his new product, still very much a man at the centre of the empire.
