Glasgow radio station Clyde 1 is set to broadcast its breakfast show from one of the city’s most historic hotels, the newly reopened Grand Central Hotel.

Clyde1 breakfast show presenter George Bowie will broadcast their programme live from the Concourse of Glasgow Central Station and the Champagne Bar of the Grand Hotel for five days next week.

Co-presenter Suzie Maguire, currently on maternity leave, is also set to make an appearance during the course of the week.

George Bowie said: “I’m extremely excited about hosting ‘Live on Location’ next week directly from the concourse at Glasgow’s Central Station. I will be interviewing a whole host of top music acts and comedians, providing fresh and exciting entertainment for our listeners.”

Bowie continued: “But by far the best thing about the five day event is the opportunity to engage face-to-face with local listeners, and to experience all the excellent banter Glaswegians have to offer as they pass through the station on their way to work.”

The week will also see a host of competitions run, with listeners encouraged to visit Central Station and the Clyde1 website as well.
