ITV set to extend Coronation Street merchandise range

Further brand extensions are being considered by ITV around the Coronation Street title, which could include confectionery, cakes, shampoos and soaps.

ITV Studios, which owns the rights to the brand, has reportedly made applications for a series of products to extend the programme’s franchise.

These will include Holland Pies’ Rovers Return-themed meals, which were launched last year as part of the soap’s 50th anniversary celebrations and saw the production of the first TV advert for Holland Pies in a decade.
