iPad 2 reportedly in production

Reports from America suggest that Apple’s long rumoured iPad 2 is now in production although Apple themselves are remaining schtum.

Nevertheless a successor to the $5bn tablet gadget would seem likely as Jobs and co seek to cash in with a series of annual upgrades ala the iPhone.

Sightings of the presently mythical device have been as frequent as for UFOs and Elvis Stateside but Apple’s own second coming is likely to become tangible around April 3, the first anniversary of the iPad.

Amongst the near certain features to be built into the gizmo are a front facing camera for realtime Facetime but those hoping for a high res screen are likely to be disappointed.
