The Ministry of Defence in Glasgow to tender for online contract portal
The Ministry of Defence in Glasgow is set to tender for an agency to develop an electronic contract notice system.
The site will be developed to allow MOD acquisition teams the ability to upload tender advertisements and contract opportunities through the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU), the European Defence Agency (EDA_, Electronic Bulletin Board (EBB), the UK Government ‘contract finder; portals and a separate website which will be maintained on behalf of the MOB by the chosen agency.
Over 2009/2010 acquisition teams placed 24,400 contracts with a total value of £15.9 billion.
The contract will last a period of four years, with the potential for two one-year-extensions.
Expressions of interest for the tender should be made by 25 March and should register on the MOD Supplier Information Database.
