Piers Morgan's US audience dwindles by three-quarters in a fortnight
After only a fortnight presenting his new chat shot for CNN, Piers Morgan’s ratings have dropped to a quarter of the initial audience.
Having taken over from US chat shot stalwart Larry King earlier this month, Morgan began the series with an interview with another chat show legend, Oprah Winfrey, bringing in 2.1 million viewers.
However on Thursday, the programme attracted only 498,000 viewers, featuring reality TV stars Kim and Kourtney Kardashian.
In comparison, Morgan’s predecessor was drawing 657,000 viewers in the three months building up to his departure.
