Spider Online has designed a new e-commerce website aimed at bargain hunters in Glasgow.

Glasgow's Great Deal launches on Monday 7 February and, its creators say, will offer upto 90% off the standard retail price of hotels, restaurants, hair and beauty services and more.

John Campbell, managing director of Glasgow-based Spider, said: "The brief was to design a user friendly site that would stand out in a hugely competitive marketplace and appeal to a 70/30 female/male demographic.

"We have developed a content management system that allows stock of offers to be controlled, so when they are fully subscribed the offer is no longer available."

Glasgow's Great Deal has partnered with Capital FM to promote its launch and it expects 30,000 users in its first three months. It is aiming for 100,000 users after eight months.

The site's owners, Today's Great Deal, plan to expand the business to other UK cities and eventually the Middle East, which is expected to bring more developmental work for Spider Online.
