Blue Marlin brings in creative director for UK as group recruits internationally

Integrated design and branding group, Blue Marlin, has announced that it is hiring a raft of new staff across its global business.

The company will see 15 new staff across its worldwide offices following an influx of new business totalling over $3.5 million.

The New York operation has picked up significant projects from new and existing clients, including Georgia Pacific and fruit and vegetable marketer Dole.

It will see six new appointments, including the promotion of Ben Cleaver to general manager.

Blue Marlin Sydney managing director Marshall Ward has extended his role to cover South East Asia following 20 per cent growth in Australia in 2010. The company will see four new appointments in the region, including that of Darren McMurtie as design director.

Following the launch of an office in Singapore, Blue Marlin has extended its relationship with

Unilever Asia, a key client partner.

The London and Bath offices will see a combined six new appointments, including that of Simon Pendry as creative director.

“We feel reenergised and invigorated and, frankly, we are in a better position now than we have been for some time,” said Blue Marlin CEO and group managing director Andrew Eyles (pictured).

“2010 finished very well across the group, and we are delighted to have attracted so much new talent to the business. There’s more to come – 2011 is going to be a very busy year.”
