Welcome to Yorkshire press officer tasked with North Yorkshire promotion
Jo Francisco, press office for Welcome to Yorkshire is set to take on a new role in 2011, charged with promoting North Yorkshire as a tourism destination.
Francisco will promote the region to regional, national and international media, working with members of the organisation to raise the profile of the area, as well as its attractions, towns, countryside and coast.
Last year, the communications team at Welcome to Yorkshire announced that it had generated over £60m worth of media coverage for the county.
Prior to joining Welcome to Yorkshire in Summer, Francisco was a senior news reporter across Yorkshire media, including the Harrogate Advertiser, Wetherby News and Nidderdale Herald plus the Sheffield Star and Yorkshire Evening Post.
